I’ve been close to many genuinely endearing people afflicted with personality disorders and I’ve had to work hard to whittle down the one I may have developed. My goal in raising awareness about narcissism is so that we can deal with this problem which afflicts all of us. The only reason someone doing an art project about Napoleon is harassed as I am is that narcissism has saturated the highest reaches of the command structure. This poison poisons everyone. I took it to heart when I read the line: “Be the change you want to see.” I learned very young that giving in to bullies only makes them much bolder in their abuse.
