Astrology Report: Today is a great day to embrace our missions with a sense of discipline

The following is shared from cafeastrology.com

Wednesday, JUNE 15

While a Venus-Jupiter semi-square early today can stir restlessness, this morning’s Mars-Chiron conjunction connects us with a mission. We may have the opportunity to take the lead or take action regarding matters that lead to healing, cleansing, or guiding. It can be a time of a release of suppressed energies. With this dynamic transit, we’re ready to address problem areas. We might take steps to boost our self-confidence, body image, and our relationship with our independence.

As the day advances, we head toward a Sun-Saturn trine, and we readily draw upon self-discipline. We can enjoy a real sense of strength and pride in our ability to meet our responsibilities. This transit supports moderation and helps us feel more grounded and stable. We are more aware of our limitations–and willing to accept them. Enjoyment of our duties or obligations can be in focus. This trine occurs in Air signs, and we can feel particularly empowered communicating in practical, helpful ways. As well, with the Moon in Capricorn all day, we’re concerned about our future, and we want to be prepared.

The symbols are described at astro.com

We’re going to look at fixed star Antares in the charts we are studying. I don’t have a birth time for Koand or Hortense’s natal chart so we must disregard the houses and other configurations dependent on an accurate birth time for those 2 charts.

What is Antares?

Antares is the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius. It has the Bayer designation α Scorpii, which is Latinised to Alpha Scorpii. Often referred to as "the heart of the scorpion", Antares is flanked by σ Scorpii and τ Scorpii near the center of the constellation. Distinctly reddish when viewed with the naked eye, Antares is a slow irregular variable star that ranges in brightness from an apparent visual magnitude of +0.6 down to +1.6. It is on average the fifteenth-brightest star in the night sky.

What is Antares in astrology? The following is shared from here:

The astrological influences of the constellation Scorpius

Ptolemy makes the following observations: “The bright stars in the front of the body of Scorpio have an effect similar to that produced by the influence of Mars, and partly to that produced by Saturn: the three in the body itself . . . are similar to Mars and moderately to Jupiter: those in the joints of the tail are like Saturn and partly like Venus: those in the sting, like Mercury and Mars.” By the Kabalists Scorpio is associated with the Hebrew letter Oin and the 16th Tarot Trump “The Lightning-Struck Tower.” [Robson, p.60-61.]

The astrological influences of the constellation Scorpius given by Manilius:

“The Scorpion presides over arms” [Manilius, Astronomica, 1st century AD, book 4, p.253]

“By virtue of his tail armed with its powerful sting, wherewith, when conducting the Sun’s chariot through his sign, he cleaves the soil and sows seed in the furrow, the Scorpion creates natures ardent for war and active service, and a spirit which rejoices in plenteous bloodshed and in carnage more than in plunder. Why, these men spend even peace under arms; they fill the glades and scour the woods; they wage fierce warfare now against man, now against beast, and now they sell their persons to provide the spectacle of death and to perish in the arena, when, warfare in abeyance, they each find themselves foes to attack. There are those, too, who enjoy mock-fights and jousts in arms (such is their love of fighting) and devote their leisure to the study of war and every pursuit which arises from the art of war.” [Manilius, Astronomica, 1st century AD, p.239-240].

The astrological influences of the star Antares

According to Ptolemy it is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter. Alvidas gives Jupiter sextile Venus, but this is unlikely considering the decidedly martial and malefic nature of the star. It causes malevolence, destructiveness, liberality, broad-mindedness, evil presages and danger of fatality and makes its natives rash, ravenous, headstrong and destructive to themselves by their own obstinacy. [Robson, 136.]

A Mars nature, in which the powers of Mercury and Jupiter and Saturn are also added. Antares makes people tough, belligerent and pugnacious. This is an important star for military personnel and is said to convey mental alertness, strategic ability and courage and to make dare-devils, especially if tied up with the MC, Ascendant, Sun or Jupiter. If associated with Mars, courage is said to become foolhardiness, leading to increased dangers. Natives with this particular configuration have to be prepared at all times for sudden incidents, unforeseen events and potential accidents. According to tradition, Antares is of violent character and is credited with being significant for a violent death, either in battle or by process of law. On the other hand, danger may come about by fire, weapons or machinery. Antares is also said to be unfortunate for the eyes, if in conjunction with the Ascendant, Moon or Sun and this has proven to be the case by later researchers. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.70-71.]

If Rising: Riches and honor, violence, sickness, benefits seldom last. [Robson, p.137.]

If culminating: Honor, preferment and good fortune [Robson, p.137.]

With Fortuna or its dispositor, poverty. [Robson, p.137.]

With Sun: Pretended religion, insincere, honor and riches ending in disgrace and ruin, military preferment, danger of treachery, violence committed or suffered, fevers and sickness, injuries to the right eye, violent death. If rising or culminating, great honor through violence attended by difficulties and casualties. If with Mars also, pestilential disease. [Robson, p.137.]

With Moon: Popular, broad-minded, interested in philosophy, science and metaphysics, liable to change religious opinions, influential friends, favorable for business and domestic matters, active in local affairs, great power, honor and wealth but benefits may not prove lasting, danger of violence, sickness, drowning or assassination. If in 1st or 10th houses, honor and preferment but many dangers and calamities. Liable to blindness or eye injuries especially if at the same time Mars or Saturn be with Regulus. If Saturn be with Aldebaran, danger of a violent death probably by hanging; but if Mars be with Aldebaran death by a stab, blow or fall especially if in angles. If a malefic be with Aldebaran in the 4th, 7th, 11th or 12th houses, death by a sudden sword-thrust, stab or fall (operations can be substituted for stabs nowadays). [Robson, p.137.]

With Mercury: Suspicious, wrongfully accuses friends, unpopular, uses ecclesiastic influence in business, money obtained slowly and with much difficulty, danger of sickness to the native and his family, and death of a relative at home or away. [Robson, p.138.]

With Venus: Insincere, dishonest, energetic and able but selfish. [Robson, p.138.]

With Mars: Detrimental habits powerfully affecting the life, quarrels with friends and relatives, fairly favorable for gain. If at the same time the Moon is with Aldebaran, danger of death by sword or hanging. [Robson, p.138.]

With Jupiter: Great religious zeal real or pretended, ecclesiastical preferment, tendency to hypocrisy, benefits through relatives. [Robson, p.138.]

With Saturn: Materialistic, dishonest through circumstances created by environment, religious hypocrisy, many disappointments, loss through quarrels and legal affairs, trouble through enemies, many failures, hampered by relatives, unfavorable for domestic matters, much sickness to and sorrow from children. If at the same time the Moon is with Aldebaran, danger of death by sword or hanging. [Robson, p.138.]

With Uranus: Abnormal and extreme ideas, hypocritical, lies and exaggerates, extremely socialistic, incites to riot, lawlessness and anarchism and in danger of imprisonment on this account, occasional poverty, disharmony with relatives, more than one marriage, unfavorable for children, violent death. [Robson, p.138.]

With Neptune: Shrewd, cunning, unbalanced and mentally unsound, secretive but apparently candid, dishonest, tendency to theft, economical, untruthful, strange religious ideas, evil environment, gain through hard work, sudden and unexpected death brought about by treachery or through enemies who will escape retribution. [Robson, p.138.]

Fixed Antares Star Astrology

Fixed star Antares is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter (great pride, grandly liberal, commanding, cosmopolitan views.) It causes malevolence, destructiveness, liberality, broad-mindedness, evil presages and danger of fatality and makes its natives rash, ravenous, headstrong and destructive to themselves by their own obstinacy.

Antares is one of the 15 Behenian Fixed Stars. Its image is a man armed with a coat of mail, or a scorpion. It gives understanding and memory, help against evil spirits, and the power of driving them away and binding them. Rules sardonyx, amethyst, long aristolochy and saffron. [1]

Antares in the constellation of Scorpio is, as its name Ant-ares says, of Martian nature, but to this Mars nature, powers of Mercury, Jupiter and also Saturn are added. Antares makes people tough, belligerent and pugnacious. This is an important star for military personnel and is said to convey mental alertness, strategic ability and courage and to make daredevils, especially if tied up with the Midheaven, Ascendant, Sun or Jupiter.

According to tradition, Antares is of violent character and is credited with being significant for a violent death, either in battle or by process of law. On the other hand, danger may come about by fire, weapons or machinery.

Antares was conjunction Ascendant in the birth charts of Ghandi, who died by assassination; general Schleicher, murdered by Hitler; Helen Keller. A conjunction with the MC has been recorded with boxer Ten Hoff and Bormann, a minister under Hitler. A conjunction with the Sun can be found in the charts of British Prime Minister Churchill, Field-Marshall Kesselring, and the former Reichsarschall Goering. Antares was conjunction the Moon of Copernicus and bound up with the lunar Node and Moon of the philosopher Nietzche, who at age 45, became an imbecile. The Austrian Kulturphilisoph, Rudolf Kassner was born when the fixed star was conjunction Mars. because he contracted infantile paralysis, he had to use crutches all his life. [2]

The prime star of Scorpio is Antares, a name meaning ‘Rival to Mars’. In the night sky, it is often more visible than Mars itself. In Babylon, it was Urbat in the asterism Hurrus, Divine Protector. The Babylonian title brings us to this star’s role as one of the four Archangel stars: Fomalhaut – Gabriel, Aldebaran – Michael, Regulus – Raphael, and now Antares – Uriel. the City of Ur, where Abraham was born, is said to have been the first city to be built after the Great Disaster and was given the name of Earth itself: Urs. That city stood close to the site of later Babylon itself, not too far from the modern Baghdad. Uriel, the Archangel not mentioned in the sacred texts made available to the public, was the one who held the secret knowledge of the Great Disaster and only revealed it to those judged able to accept it and still believe in the Divine Goodness in all that befalls us. Again this is so very Scorpio in nature that one cannot miss or deride its ring of truth.

Ptolemy classified Antares as a Mars-Jupiter type, and all astrologers have noted it as an indicator of success in war, and high command therein, but not forgetting that one’s opponent may have the support of Aldebaran, the star opposite to this one, and star of Archangel Michael, commander of the Heavenly Host itself! What does tend to show up when these two stars are both engaged on the horoscope is a conflict, either the starting date of the war or the natal charts of the leaders, is that peace rarely ensues before the total and crushing defeat of one side or the other. And it is a war that escalates to huge proportions, even to a world scale, as aggressive Mars is precedence over expansive Jupiter would imply.

But war is not the only outlet for the symbolism of Antares, and it indicates just as often the individual’s great store of energy and optimism to undertake ventures which others could not attempt. According to the planets involved, and the house on the horoscope where Antares is found, such ventures can include anything from sports achievements and exploration of Antarctica or the Moon to diplomacy of the most hazardous kind, or scientific research at the extremes of human knowledge and ability. [3]

Antares star rules the right side of the third vertebra from the bottom (fifth lumbar) in the human body. [5]

Constellation Scorpius

The Scorpio was the dreaded symbol of darkness in the region of the Euphrates. Comets in this region of the sky were said to portend plagues of “reptiles” (read as locusts or other insects harmful to agriculture). In Classical Scientific Astrology, the fruitful nature of Scorpio was mentioned. This attribute also applies to the constellation. The constellation of the Scorpion has been considered unlucky from earliest antiquity. [2]

If associated with Mars, courage is said to become foolhardiness, leading to increased dangers. Natives with this particular configuration have to be prepared at all times for sudden incidents and unforeseen events and potential accidents. [2]

This brings brutality and the person is in a rage over many things. This individual can even feel the rage at the bottom of their spine as this energy comes up the spine causing energized adrenal glands. They are enraged over the philosophies of society, such as the court system, religious disciplines and the government. They are enraged over any limitations, those limiting structures in the home, work, the government, religions and the military. They do not understand what their problem really is, they just know they are angered at everything. They respond to incidents that are trivial to others with chaos and aggression. They are especially destructive to those close to them for they are the ones who receive the greatest anger. These natives are never in a calm state and will literally beat anyone down who gets in the way. They do not feel any remorse or sorrow after hurting another being: they absolutely lack compassion. [5]

If at the same time the Moon is with Aldebaran, danger of death by sword or hanging. [1]

(1° orb): This planet restricts mobility, and these natives generally end up walking with a cane. Their nerves are usually shortened so that one leg is slightly shorter than the other causing them to walk with a limp. This is painful, but the cane offers support so that the pain is bearable. They eventually have more pain due to an imbalance of the spine caused by an interrupted blood flow at that point. Taking small amounts of garlic daily would help the nerves through the area and stimulate the energy flow. Deep within themselves, these people do not like to participate in daily activities. They do not like to help others, and there is a subconscious dilemma that brings on this blockage. They like to feel they are too good or too self-righteous and above others to participate in normal day-to-day activities. These persons use their restriction in mobility to place themselves above others. [5]

[1]

This causes spasms through the sciatic nerve and down through part of the thigh. It is not painful, but it is unstable as the person will shake slightly when they try to put weight on that side. Hops would be of great help, and should be taken three times per week in an herb tea such as chamomile which would relax the muscles. [5]
