The Band - This Wheel’s On Fire

We’re exploring Koand’s Songs That Influence Him List on YouTube.

Words of note in the song below:

“And you know that we shall meet again if your memory serves you well”

I’ve been spinning Koand’s songs for a few months by now and the themes should be emerging. I think we can conclude by now that at least he’s operating as if he’s a twin flame with someone. I hope that’s safe to say. I’m always trying to prove what’s so hard to prove - mostly to myself. If I really am a twin flame with this person that I have never met that I used to chase around after - the implications of this are MASSIVE. I was in anguish over this situation of idol worship and yet this celebrity thing made me not quite perceive him as a human being. I had come to really believe that I wasn’t real to him either or that I ever could be. Who put up this illusory wall? Who runs the celebrity thing? Is part of it to isolate “the people” from them? Was it done on purpose? If we’re twin flames, then we’re cut from the same cloth and these divisions shouldn’t stand between us. All I hear is that these walls are financial. All these walls are financial. Who runs finance?

"This Wheel's On Fire"
(from "The Last Waltz" soundtrack) Lyrics

If your memory serves you well
We're going to meet again and wait
So I'm going to unpack all my things
And sit before it gets too late
No man alive will come to you
With another tale to tell
And you know that we shall meet again
If your memory serves you well

This wheel's on fire, rolling down the road
Best notify my next of kin
This wheel shall explode!

If your memory serves you well, I was going to confiscate your lace
And wrap it up in a sailor's knot and hide it in your case
If I knew for sure that it was yours, and it was oh so hard to tell
And you know that we shall meet again if your memory serves you well

If your memory serves you well, you'll remember that you're the one
Who called on them to call on me to get you your favours done
And after every plan had failed and there was nothing more to tell
And you know that we shall meet again if your memory serves you well
