We recently took a look at Bob Dylan’s natal chart. I saw someone very inclined to use his unusual fame to bring about healing.
What kind of energies would we have if we worked together somehow?
As I’ve said before, my Sun/Mercury is in the 7th house of partners and enemies in Scorpio (hidden power). Since Bob Dylan could fit that description (a partner or enemy in media relating to hidden power), let’s start there. We find Pallas Athena (creative just war goddess) a bit out of aspect at the start of adventurous Sagittarius. Maybe my Sun/Mercury could shine some light on this facet of Bob’s nature.
What we see however - in this space of prominent media friends and enemies - is a difficult opposition to Bob’s massive fame stellium (“planet” alignment). Bob has an approximate alignment between the Sun (fame, identity), Jupiter (benevolence, expansion, fame), Uranus (genius, revolution), Moon (emotions), Saturn (work, bondage), Black Moon Lilith (protest, activism), Venus (art, beauty, money), Mercury (communication) in Taurus (values, beauty, money, ruled by Venus) and Gemini (communications, ruled by Mercury). From that lineup, we should see the unusual force of nature that is Bob Dylan. He is a hard working, emotional artist and communicator.
This opposition against my house of partnership (the 7th house) does imply a connection, albeit a difficult one - which has been the case. I am banned from communicating openly with him or anyone else of influence. Ultimately I have meant well but difficult it has been.
In addition to having my Sun/Mercury in the 7th house which means that I am very prone to partnerships, I also have Uranus near my descendent or a space that tells us about other people in my life. Uranus in this place in my chart implies that I deal with geniuses, disruptive people, freedom lovers . . . those who have Uranus type qualities. I certainly favor weird and wonderful people so this rings true. Disruptive people certainly seek me also.
It just so happens that this Uranus place of others is trine Bob’s fame stellium, particularly close in aspect with the Sun and Venus. This strongly implies a link between Bob’s artistic prominence and my area of geniuses.
In my 6th house of health and service, I have Uranus in Libra (art revolution) Pluto in Libra (culture transformation) and Vesta (sacred fire, devotion) in Virgo (service, healing).
What Bob brings to this space is very interesting - Neptune (spirit) and North Node (fate). This strongly implies a link between Bob’s spiritual fate and my mission of culture transformation.
Another spot that stands out in my chart is that I have Jupiter (teaching truth) in my 10th house of career in Aquarius (genius, technology, revolution). This just so happens to be trine Bob’s Sun and his massive stellium in Taurus and Gemini. We see a lot of opportunity to amplify knowledge and truth here.
My Jupiter in the 10th house in Aquarius is opposition Bob probably very painful Mars/Chiron alignment in prominent Leo. Maybe Bob is suffering (Mars/Chiron) about a matter pertaining to the establishment (Leo). This pain may lead to a collaboration which could bring healing (Mars/Chiron).
Another interesting spot in my chart is a stellium involving Venus (art) in Capricorn (work, structures) in the 9th house (travel, foreigners, true religion). Bob could bring a sense of nurturing to this as he has Ceres and Pars Fortuna (luck) here.
The spot on my chart with the most harmonious aspects is Neptune (spirit) in the 8th house (secrets, the taboo) in an especially lucky duplicated Sagittarius (generosity, ruled by Jupiter). This is space is also sextile Jupiter. Otherwise, my chart is unusually full of difficult aspects so I’m always looking for spiritual solutions to my many problems.
Bob’s Dylan’s Sun and fame stellium form a difficult opposition to this lucky spot that I have. This once again implies the potential of a joint mission or a spiritual collaboration.
It’s very interesting how spirit predominates in these looks at Bob Dylan’s astrological situation.
