I recently looked at Thom Yorke’s natal chart on this blog. Generally it was revealed that Thom is very potent and mystical - which of course, we already knew.
Thom’s Sun is in the middle of artistic Libra on his ascendant - there’s the famous artist. This bright artistic Sun is opposition Thom’s Moon (emotions) conjunct Saturn (restriction). This fame is likely to be fairly painful and the Moon/Saturn combination is in the 7th house so it can involve partners and enemies.
What do I bring to this area of partners in Thom’s chart? My Mars retrograde, Chiron retrograde and Eris retrograde. That screams anger and wounds regarding the past. So we combine the energy of Thom’s emotional and devoted (Vesta) in his place of others and my intensity from a place of isolation (the 12th house).
Thom also has a yod in his chart pointing to this lunar space. This implies that his destiny involves this Moon, Saturn, Pars Fortuna (luck) and Vesta (sacred fire) stellium. That this space involves Thom’s destiny is further emphasized by his North Node being a part of this configuration. All of this activity is in bellicose, active Aries.
What energy is flowing into this emotional wounded isolated, restricted place in Thom’s yod with my energies (Mars, Chiron, Eris) blended in? We see my Pars Fortuna and devoted Vesta along side Thom’s massively combustible yet generous stellium of Pluto (transformation), Mars (fire), Jupiter (true religion) and Uranus (Revolution).
This combination of unstoppable, zealous energy would be a major factor in Thom’s destiny. This conglomeration of potent sacred fire type energy is further underscored as benevolent by its placement in service oriented Virgo.
My yod points to Saturn in the 3rd house in Cancer. Which implies that my purpose ultimately involves matters concerning restriction/government, media and my homeland. Thom’s destiny is not all that different as his yod points to the Moon and Saturn. The Moon rules Cancer so this brings an emotional aquatic flavor to my life’s mission. We share that in common.
The yod’s other leg is really interesting because my Sun is in my 7th house of partners and enemies. Unlike Thom’s, my fame (Sun) is about others or others are the famous ones in my life.
Thom’s Sun on his ascendant in Libra (ruled by Venus) and my Sun in my 7th house (ruled by Venus) sort of implies a link. Once again we see themes of art war as my place of fame and media (Sun and Mercury) are conjunct Thom’s Venus (art), Juno (serious partnerships), Ceres (nurturing) and Neptune (spirit). All of these powerful energies are in dark, intense, secretive, powerful Scorpio. Our destinies are likely to involve themes of power, secrets and deep emotions.
Something else that validates our potential as a revolutionary alliance is that my Uranus (genius, shocks) is conjunct Thom’s Pallas Athena (just creative war) and Mercury (media, thinking).
