I’m taking an astrological snapshot of Paul McCartney’s natal chart. I’m not sure about the birth time so I’ll tune the houses out. The first thing that jumps out is that the 2 planets of fame, the Sun and Jupiter are somewhat aligned.
The Sun is in Gemini, a space of changeability and communication. A Sun in Gemini can be very charming. The Jupiter placement in the Cancer constellation could intimate a fierce patriotism and big impulse of generosity in the defense and protection of his homeland.
What further underscores this idea is the nearby Black Moon Lilith which I’ve found does express a feeling of protest or even vengeance - for good or ill.
What we also find near this ornery fame configuration of Sun/Jupiter/Black Moon Lilith is the planet Mercury. We also see Mercury is in the constellation of Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury.
This strong placement of Mercury implies a great facility in the fields of communication and influencing people. The idea that someone that looms this large over our culture has this sort of stellium is a strong validation of astrology itself.
This ridiculously obvious but rebellious fame stellium of Sun/Jupiter/Black Moon Lilith/Mercury faces a challenge in a square with Neptune. Neptune rules water, spirituality and enchantment. Neptune is in a harmonious trine with Venus. We see harmonious configurations between Venus and Neptune over and over with musicians.
Venus rules culture and beauty. Neptune can be sensitive and empathetic - and/or prone to drug abuse - so the combination of Venus and Neptune in musicians’ charts makes a lot of sense.
The fame stellium squared by Neptune trine Venus does imply that there is a significant challenge that must be faced between the matters of fame and spiritual and artistic matters.
Since Neptune is in Virgo here, this further underscores that Paul’s destiny may be about service and communication. His natural tendencies may veer towards spiritual and cultural service. This is something I am seeing frequently from this great artist.
Now let’s look at the disruptive, shocking, revolutionary, idealistic Uranus. It is placed in the constellation of Taurus - ruled by Venus. We are once against seeing the cultural revolutionary.
Since Uranus is in Taurus along with Venus - the ruler of Taurus Is Venus - it is emphasized that Paul may be destined to become an even greater culture revolutionary than he has already been.
What we also see is potential difficulties involving art/culture/relations - the domain of Venus - and a painful, emotional, potent stellium of the Moon (emotion) Chiron (wounds, healing) Pluto (pain, power, transformation) and Mars (action, fire).
This super deep intense stellium in dominant, glorious Leo is harmonious with freedom loving Uranus and in difficulty with Venus. This may indicate that Paul has paranormal gifts (Uranus) and that he has massive firepower (Mars, Pluto) and deep personal reasons (Chiron) to effect cultural change. What may not be so easy is balancing his deep wounds (Chiron) and passion (Pluto) with his art and relationships (Venus).
What we see here is a chart skewed strongly into fields of communication (Virgo, Gemini) art (Taurus) and themes of power (Mars), fame (Jupiter, Sun) and the establishment (Leo).
Paul is an extraordinary person who has had the intensity and skill to remain at the top of our culture for many decades. What may be lacking is balance. Such enormous fame and talent must have its price and Paul may feel this. This is definitely someone with a lot of power who can be expected to SURPRISE US.
