Why did the people support Napoleon’s rise to power?

This is explained in all the memoirs that I have been broadcasting.

Revolution was fomented to wipe away those with power to replace them with the fomenters of revolution. An order out of chaos modus operandi. Once the new corrupt puppets were in place, France fell into degradation. The people needed a strong, good man to save them. They viewed Napoleon as that man.

Why?

Because he had miraculously won Italy from Austria who had been attacking France for many, many years. Napoleon attempted to check the power of France’s other foe - the English government - through his Egyptian campaign.

Once Napoleon assumed power, he exceeded the public’s expectations by resolving finance issues, ending the civil war, by reconstructing Paris, by establishing new historically fairer laws. The list goes on.

These improvements were so terrifying to France’s enemies that they felt compelled to keep up the wars because that was the only way they could finally destroy Napoleon and what he represented.
