Their go-to move is usually to call me a liar and a bad person. Then I’m supposed to react emotionally and I’m supposed to sink to their level. Instead, it is then cemented in my mind beyond a shadow of a doubt of what that individual really is all about.
I have a very sad situation where a sock puppet account keeps sending me these sort of psychological projection emails. I’m almost sure I know who is hiding behind those emails. I generally like to make the reaction to the project available to the reader but so much poison really benefits no one.
I sincerely wish I knew how to help these sort of types who try to keep the ego intact through the use of projection. All of my attempts to help these afflicted souls in the past have failed to my knowledge. Instead of trying to help them, which I’ve never succeeded in, I rather hope I can inform people like us on how to recognize their games. These games are so predictable and limited that hopefully our education will render their tricks useless.
We cannot drive infiltrators from our midst until we first identify them and their games.
