Dave has massive fame in England and clearly efforts were made to hold him back from being as huge in the U.S. We see this with Madness, Marc Bolan, Chris Farlowe and many more.

I originally became such a big enthusiast of Elvis in the 90s BECAUSE I could tell the creeps holding me back were doing it to him as well. Then that wasn’t enough so they had to send D to really sit on him while she does her system sponsored thieving.
